How we worked it out
Updated as you change the numbers.
- Grade points for each course = grade value × credits. GPA = total grade points ÷ total credits.
- Cumulative GPA combines the earlier GPA × credits with this term’s grade points.
Method and assumptions
On the common US 4.0 scale A = 4, B = 3, C = 2, D = 1 and F = 0, with plus and minus grades 0.3 above or below. Some schools give A+ 4.3 or use other scales; enter grade points directly in that case.
Questions
What is my GPA with an A (4 credits), B+, A−, C+ (3 each) and B (2)?
3.33 (49.9 grade points over 15 credits).
